March 4th through 10th 2012
BORN THIS WEEK Rex Harrison (March 5, 1906)

"The sign of Pisces thus boasts a host of "Peter Perfects,” fancy fussbudgets whose often rough and humble origins bely their aristocratic airs and high-brow raison d'êtres."
In blanket terms, Pisces men fall into two categories, George Harrisons or Rex Harrisons, though sometimes the twain shall meet in fastidious activists like Harry Belafonte or Ralph Nader. Pisces, the mutable-water sign (think fog and mists, elements of illusion and enchantment) is ruled by Neptune, the planet of fantasy, magic, imagination, delusion and dissolution. As such, Pisces men are endowed with the power to fully inhabit their fantasy selves, dissolving from their make-up any traits or, from their story, any truths that run counter to their romanticized vision of self. The sign of Pisces thus boasts a host of “Peter Perfects,” fancy fussbudgets whose often rough and humble origins bely their aristocratic airs and high-brow raison d’êtres. The lock-jawed George Plimpton, David Niven, Tony Randall, Jim Backus, Rex Harrison, Rob Lowe, Mitt Romney, Pierce Brosnan, Kyle Maclachlan, Kelsey Grammar, Ron Howard, Bret Easton Ellis, Anthony Daniels, (Star Wars’ c3p0) all seem programmed for proper protocol, on screen and off. Ironically, straight Pisces little-Lord-Fauntleroys often go for ribald babes with an earthy, open sexuality, while Pisces’ priggish airs can make their own appear indeterminate.
Aries
With a Grand Trine in Earth of Pluto, Mars and Jupiter, you feel bogged down by obligation and seek short cuts, if not a total embargo on responsibility. We could lecture on how this only cuts you off from character building. Or why powering through makes future challenges more cakey to accomplish. But we’ll spare you that. What we will say is that in sidestepping what life is serving, you rob yourself of serendipity that brings success. But by accepting what life offers, you find the magic in the mundane minutiae.
Taurus
Hitting your stride, you personify progressive ideals without seeming like a free radical. As Venus enters Taurus, Monday, you gain momentum and support for out-of-the-box ideas, winning over stuffed shirts who may pony up to help you realize visions. Others’ interest in you, romantically and professionally, is piqued, allowing you to soft pedal hard sells. You go in for the kill with a bold career move, making it seem a subtle and elegant maneuver. The Full Moon, Thursday, prescribes a major romp in nature and/or the hay.
Gemini
Mercury and Uranus squaring Pluto bubbles emotions to the surface. Avoid aggravation; but beware of people-pleasing. It can read as patronizing to those who sense investment isn’t heartfelt. You’re ready for a career breakthrough. This entails recognizing some of your shtick is becoming stale. Would-be champions need new products, plans or proposals from you. Your schedule is packed, but busy doesn’t always equal successful. Eliminate an excess quantity of engagements, saving energy to devote more to quality ones.

Cancer
The Cancer Moon T-square Venus and Saturn causes karmic effects. If you’ve focused on romancing yourself and showering others with appreciation, expect tony career and social opportunities. But if you’ve been in a passive-aggressive spin down, scapegoating others for your own shortcomings to remove them from your path, expect to do some penance. And don’t think you’ll get away with an illicit tryst. Only single Cancerians who hold true to their highest romantic ideals will conjure real love to them by way of honest wishcraft.
Leo
You now dedicate resources and energy to helping others. And in advance of Thursday’s Full Moon, you’ll do so, behind the scenes, without seeking credit. Indeed, you eschew it. You find that selfless acts are actually quite selfish to perform. For, you never feel better than when you’re helping those in need. It’s an indulgence we condone. And one you will make a mainstay in your life. Venus trine Pluto inspires higher consciousness via learning or travel which, even if work-related, will ultimately nurture a burgeoning spiritual life.
Virgo
You may be feeling shafted. But you’ll be darned if you’ll sit idly by and let others eat your lunch. A Grand Trine of Mars, Jupiter and Pluto creates a pipeline for keeping tabs on those showing you just one of their two faces. By Thursday’s Full Moon, situations come to a head, and yet you’re suffused with diplomatic energy. Expect a surplus of solicitation for your involvement in a deal—but do not collude or collaborate. Now is about embracing as much career autonomy as you can, leaving detractors in the dust.
Libra
There is benefit in not having all the answers even though we know you do. Being an intuitive listener is worlds more valued than playing a fix-it role. And Venus entering Taurus says to keep your own counsel and to mine internal resources for guidance in your personal life. On the career front, you will have admitted fault when you were not the culprit. Trust. The truth will ultimately surface and you will be vindicated. Meanwhile, even conflicts contribute to big-wigs taking notice of you and furthering your lofty aims.
Scorpio
Horizons expand as you put visionary ideas into solid action. Now is the precise moment to ask for help or money for new enterprises. Venus opposing Saturn casts her charm on whatever task you seek to master. The road you’re on is the one less traveled, but you’re rewarded for trailblazing endeavors. Venus entering Taurus also heats up romance, even mixing business with plain old getting busy. That said, you can invite hostility. Take nothing personally. Self-professed rivals are jealous of your increasing self-possession.
Sagittarius
Pruning excess ensures growth and freedom. A Grand Trine of Jupiter, Mars and Pluto weeds out extra work, curbs spending and limits social interaction. Temporarily. The cosmos wants you as unbeholden as possible. You shouldn’t even be bound to the list of books you’d like to read. A lot of nothing is the most productive thing to do. This enables uncomfortable feelings to surface, so you’ll know what it is you’re repressing. The Full Moon, Thursday, makes you psychedelically aware of the banalities you must transcend.
Capricorn
There’s a need for integration, bringing the myriad moving parts of your life into a more cohesive system. Mercury and Uranus squaring Pluto portends putting out fires en route to consolidating energy. Personal fulfillment requires being more magnetic, stepping back to gain big-picture perspectives on family and friendly dynamics, so to master emotions. You’re also urged to specialize more in career, focusing your spirit on pursuing specific goals, instead of being a human dream-catcher, grabbing what blows your way.
Aquarius
Mercury conjunct Uranus, squaring Pluto says that abundance is now measured by creative output, a growing circle of friends, and a new epoch of romantic increase—whether via one relationship or a string of serious love affairs. Though you’ve done without material trappings, and are happier for it, you’ve always intended on crawling into the largest lap of luxury you can score. But with Thursday’s Full Moon, you learn you really don’t value such things at all. It’s knowledge and experience you prize most highly.
Pisces
As confident and charismatic as you are at this juncture, you’ll concede you’ve felt a bit like a second banana in a relationship or business partnership, or both, making you a tad grabby for the spotlight. With Saturn trine Neptune, you are increasingly symbiotic in your bonds, while others ubiquitously hail you as the professional and social flavor of the moment. And you easily confront would-be problems and setbacks with compromise solutions and secret passageways to progress, forgiving those who trespass against you.
